Islay is a simply gorgeous one bedroom apartment located on the second floor of the iconic Whisky Residence building on Wooler High Street
Benefitting from a full renovation in 2025, the place simply oozes charm and chic, and we believe these apartments are raising the bar for luxury accommodation in Northumberland. The vibe is Whisky and smoking lounge (just the vibe though – no smoking allowed!)
You will love the open plan kitchen/lounge area with SMART TV as well as the gorgeous bathroom with large walk-in rainforest shower, basin and toilet. The bedroom has a king size Ottoman bed which has loads of useful storage underneath. The double sofa bed in the lounge means we can have up to four guests stay here

Pets are very welcome at The Whisky Residence. Please note there is a £20 pet charge to pay
Wooler is a charming market town with many interesting shops, pubs and cafes to explore. It is also ideally located to easily access the AONB coastline and the Cheviot Hills. There is also the Ad Gefrin Whisky Distillery and visitor centre just a few minutes stroll away
There are several pub and cafe options around Wooler as well as a couple of restaurants and takeaways
We have a lovely cafe on-site, The Cherry Tree, which is highly recommended
